Kolmont continues to grow with Tom Deckers as its new CEO

Limburg-based project developer Kolmont continues to grow and professionalize. Tom Deckers, who has been general manager at Kolmont since 2015, takes the reins as the company’s new CEO, taking over from Bart Tans. Tans is stepping into the role of chairman of the board of directors. In this revamped leadership dynamic, they are committed to keeping Kolmont’s growth story soaring.

Tom started his career at EY and later held various management positions at real estate development firm Pylos. In 2015, he came on board at Kolmont as general manager. In that position, for the past eight years, he worked closely with Bart Tans, who founded the company in 2000. Tans has now handed over the full operational management of the company to Deckers, so that Tans can focus full-time on the future strategy of Kolmont. He will do so in his new position as chairman of the board of directors.

Established player in the real estate sector

Under the leadership of Bart Tans, Kolmont has grown from a small family business to an established player in the real estate sector over the past few decades. The company specialises in the development of urban mixed-use projects, residential areas, business parks, and the Brussels office market. The project developer’s projects include Montgomery Parc in Brussels, the Proximus site on Antwerp’s Meir, and the old Court of Justice in Hasselt.
